I have never thought a vast amount about kitchen design before.   I have had a kitchen installed to replace the one that came in this lovely spacious home I moved into twenty odd years ago.  Strangely although I thought I should upgrade because mine looked a tad shabby compared to local neighbours’, when the install manager came to survey, he said it looked in very good condition – unless he was mentally comparing with some he’d had to work on recently.    Seeing one that is installed next door however, well that did surprise me.  I’ve gone for streamlined fairly clinical in looks.  The neighbour had the same supplier but two years ago.  Her cupboards still look fresh and new.  White doors on the upper cabinets and grey/blue on the lower half. I chose luxe laminate work top with stainless top mounted sink.  Theirs has a marble effect worktop all the way round with the sink below level.  It does look incredible and I’m now wondering if I did the right thing!
